1. Who you are dealing with
Online Store Kit is an independent software business owned and operated by Walter D.T. Pinem (owner of Online Store Kit), based in Medan, Indonesia. It is a one-person operation. There is no company, no support department, and no team. When you email support, you reach the developer who wrote the code.
- Website: https://www.onlinestorekit.com/
- Support and general contact: [email protected]
In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Online Store Kit. “You” and “your” mean the person or organization using this website or holding a license to our products.
By using this website or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the website or buy the products.
2. Order process and payment
Payments on this website are processed by PayPal. PayPal handles the payment transaction and your card or account details are provided directly to them. We never see or store your full payment details.
Online Store Kit is the seller. We issue your license key, deliver the product, and provide all support. PayPal passes back to us only the order information we need to do that.
Payment must be made through the checkout on this website. We will never send you a payment link outside of it, and you should treat any such request as fraudulent.
Depending on where you live, your bank or PayPal may apply a currency conversion or cross-border fee to your payment. Those charges are set by them, not by us, and we have no control over them.
3. What you are actually buying
Our products are WordPress and WooCommerce plugins. It is important that you understand exactly what a purchase gives you, because it differs from most other software:
- The plugin code is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later (GPL). This is a requirement of building on WordPress, and we do not pretend otherwise. Your rights under the GPL are not affected by these Terms.
- What you purchase is a license key. The license key unlocks the product’s premium features and entitles you to automatic updates, new versions, and support from us, for a defined number of sites and a defined period of time. The features remain unlocked for as long as the license is valid.
Some bundled assets shipped with our products, including images, icons, fonts, and third-party libraries, may be covered by their own separate licenses. Those licenses are included with the files concerned.
In short: the code itself is free software under the GPL, and what you are paying for is a licensed, unlocked, supported copy for the period you buy.
4. License tiers, site limits, and duration
Each product page lists the tiers available for that product. Tiers range from a single site up to 100 sites, and every tier is sold as an annual license.
- A license key may be activated only on the number of live sites permitted by your tier.
- Your license period, your update entitlement, and your support entitlement all run for the same twelve months from the date of purchase.
- You may activate the license on a client’s site if you purchased it on their behalf, and you may transfer an activation between sites, provided the total number of simultaneously active sites never exceeds your tier limit.
- Staging, development, and local copies of a site you already have activated do not count against your limit.
5. License period and renewal
Licenses are sold for a twelve month period and do not renew automatically. Nothing is charged to you again unless you choose to buy a renewal yourself.
- We will email you before your license expires so you can decide whether to renew.
- Renewals are offered at the same price you originally paid. We may occasionally apply a percentage discount to a renewal at our discretion, and any such discount applies only to the renewal for which it is offered.
- If you would prefer not to receive renewal reminders, email [email protected] and we will stop sending them.
6. What happens when a license ends
If you choose not to renew, or you let a license lapse:
- The premium features stop working. Our products are gated by your license key. Once the license ends, the key no longer validates and the premium features lock.
- Updates, new versions, and support also stop.
- Your settings and data are not deleted. They remain in your WordPress installation, and activating a valid license key again restores everything as it was.
Please read this before you buy. This is a subscription-style license. If you do not renew, you lose access to the paid features, not just to updates. If you need the features to keep working indefinitely without renewing, our products are not the right purchase for you, and we would rather tell you that now than refund you later.
Grace period. Some products include a grace period after the expiry date, during which your license remains active and updates and support continue exactly as before. Where a grace period applies to a product, its length is stated on that product’s page and shown in your customer dashboard. Grace periods are a courtesy we choose to extend, are set individually for each product, and may be changed or withdrawn for future license periods.
You can renew a lapsed license at any time to restore updates and support.
7. Prohibited use and termination of your entitlement
The following will result in your license key being deactivated:
- Activating the key on more sites than your tier permits.
- Sharing, publishing, or selling your license key.
- Distributing a modified copy of our products with the licensing or update mechanism removed or defeated, or publishing our products on file-sharing sites, warez forums, or nulled-software directories.
- Any other action taken to allow the product to receive updates or support without a valid license key.
To be clear about what we are and are not claiming: the GPL gives you the right to redistribute the plugin code, and we do not dispute that right. What we are ending in these cases is the commercial relationship. A deactivated key means the premium features lock, updates and support stop, the remaining period is forfeited, and we may decline to sell to you in future.
8. Support and updates
Support is provided by email at [email protected] and through our contact form, in English or Indonesian, on business days. We aim to respond within two business days. As a one-person operation, replies may take longer during weekends, Indonesian public holidays, and announced absences.
- Support covers: installation, activation, configuration, documented features, bug reports, and compatibility problems with current versions of WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Support does not cover: custom development or custom code written for your site, modifications to our products, conflicts caused by third-party plugins or themes that we cannot reproduce in a clean environment, server or hosting administration, general WordPress training, or restoring sites from backups.
Updates are delivered through the WordPress dashboard while your license is active, and are also available as direct downloads from your customer dashboard at https://www.onlinestorekit.com/dashboard/downloads/.
9. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy at https://www.onlinestorekit.com/refund/, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: you have 14 days from the date of purchase, and approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.
10. Products, pricing, and availability
We may change product prices, features, and tier structures at any time. Changes never alter the terms of a license you have already bought during its current period.
We may discontinue a product. If we do, existing licenses will continue to receive support and any critical security updates until the end of their current paid period, and renewals will no longer be offered for that product.
11. Website content and intellectual property
The content of this website, including text, documentation, screenshots, product artwork, and the Online Store Kit name and logo, remains our property or that of our licensors. You may not republish, resell, sublicense, or redistribute website content, and no use of our name, logo, or artwork is permitted without written permission. This clause applies to website content only. It does not restrict the rights granted to you by the GPL in respect of plugin code, which are set out in section 3.
If you believe content on this website infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with details and we will investigate.
12. Comments and submissions
Where the website allows comments or submissions, you are responsible for what you post. Content is not reviewed before it appears, and it does not represent our views. You must not post material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or promotional. We may remove any submission at our discretion. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and moderate that content on the website.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
Our products are provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and conditions not expressly stated in these Terms.
We do not warrant that a product will be compatible with every possible combination of theme, plugin, hosting environment, PHP version, and WordPress or WooCommerce version, that it will be free of defects, or that it will operate without interruption. You are responsible for testing on a staging environment and for keeping working backups before installing or updating any plugin on a live site.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost sales, lost or corrupted data, business interruption, or the cost of substitute software.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a product or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to a license period you have already paid for.
16. Governing law and your consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and the courts of Indonesia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If you are buying as a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live, including statutory withdrawal and refund rights. Where those rights conflict with anything in these Terms, those rights prevail.
17. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding your use of this website and our products.
