Your first interactive image

Draw hotspots, save, and put the image on a page.

An interactive image takes a few minutes: pick a picture, draw the clickable areas, then embed the result anywhere.

Create and draw

  1. Go to PixMapr → Add New and give the image a title.
  2. Choose the picture you want to make interactive.
  3. Draw hotspots with the polygon, circle, and rectangle tools, directly on the image. A polygon can trace any outline; circles and rectangles are quicker for regular shapes.
  4. Give each hotspot a title, a description, and an action.
  5. Save. Hotspots can be reordered later without redrawing them, and the whole image can be duplicated from the images list.

Put it on a page

Use the PixMapr block in the block editor, the Elementor widget, the Beaver Builder module, or the shortcode:

[pixmapr id="123"]

The ID is shown on the images list. Every display option can be set on the image itself and overridden per placement.

Where the image lives

Each interactive image gets its own URL for previewing. By default it stays out of site search, out of the XML sitemap, and asks search engines not to index it, so it never competes with the page that embeds it. Publishing images as standalone content instead is one toggle: Findable on their own under PixMapr → Settings → General.
