Troubleshooting
The button is missing, the message is wrong, or a setting will not stick: start here.
Most problems come down to a missing number, a hidden placement, or a cache. Work through the matching section below before opening a support thread, and mention what you already tried when you do.
The button is not on my product page
Check, in order: a WhatsApp number exists and is published; that number is selected on the Basic tab and Enable WhatsApp Button is ticked; the product itself does not have Hide WhatsApp button? ticked; the product’s category or tag is not in the Display tab exclusions; the button is not hidden for your device on the Display tab. If all of that is clean, your theme may not fire the hook for the chosen position: try another Button Position, or place the [oneclick] shortcode directly.
The chat opens without my message, or the link misbehaves
Turn on Force Using wa.me on the Basic tab. It replaces the device-specific base URLs with one format that behaves the same everywhere, and it resolves most link complaints on the spot.
I changed the number but the old one still opens
Number lookups are cached for up to one hour, and page caching can hold the old button HTML longer. Clear your caching plugin and server cache; the transient expires on its own within the hour.
No button on the cart page
Update to version 1.1.1 or later if your cart page uses the WooCommerce Block Cart; earlier versions only supported the classic shortcode cart. Confirm the option is enabled on the Cart tab and a number is selected. On the Block Cart the button appears just after the cart finishes rendering.
The cart message shows old quantities
On the Block Cart, the message is built when the page loads. After changing quantities or coupons, reload the cart page before tapping the button so the totals match.
A checkbox will not stay saved
Update to 1.1.2, which fixed the Open in New Tab checkbox not saving on the Basic, Shop, Checkout, and Floating tabs. One known case remains in 1.1.2: the same checkbox on the Shortcode tab does not persist yet; a fix is planned. Until then, use the dynamic shortcode with [waorder ... target="yes"] when the shortcode button must open a new tab.
No button on the thank-you page
The Checkout tab needs both the enable option ticked and a WhatsApp number selected. Without a selected number the override does not render.
