WhatsApp Numbers
Add unlimited numbers, format them correctly, and assign them per store area or product.
Every button in the plugin sends chats to a number you create under Chat to Order → WhatsApp Numbers. You can create as many as you need and point each store area, or each product, at a different one.
Adding a number
- Go to Chat to Order → Add New Number.
- Give it a title. This is an internal label such as Sales or Support; customers never see it.
- Enter the number in the WhatsApp Number field and publish.
Number format
Digits only, starting with the country code, with no plus sign, spaces, or dashes. For example 6281234567890 for an Indonesian number or 14155552671 for a US number. A number entry cannot be published while the field is empty; the plugin holds it as pending until a number is filled in.
Assigning numbers
Each settings tab (Basic, Shop, Cart, Checkout, Floating, Shortcode) has its own number dropdown, so different areas of the store can chat to different people. A single product can override the tab-level choice from its own edit screen; see Product Settings.
Good to know
- Only administrators can add, edit, or delete numbers (a security measure introduced in version 1.1.0).
- Number lookups are cached for up to one hour. If a changed number keeps opening the old chat, clear your site cache and wait out the hour.
