Activating your license
Where the key goes and what happens when it lapses.
Activating
Open EM Buttons → License, enter the license key and the email address you purchased with, then click Activate. The screen confirms activation and the other tabs become available.
A license is checked against the licensing server when you activate it, then verified locally on later requests. A brief network problem does not deactivate a working license.
Moving a site
A standard license covers one site. To move it, deactivate the license on the old site first, from the same License tab, then activate it on the new one. A five-site license covers five, and an unlimited license covers every site you run.
When a license expires
A standard license runs for a year and includes a 30-day grace period after the expiry date. During the grace period everything keeps working normally.
Once the grace period passes, the marketplace buttons stop rendering on the front end and the product box is hidden in the dashboard. Your settings and saved marketplace URLs are not deleted, and renewing restores everything as it was. The grace period is 7 days on the one-site and five-site plans, and 30 days on unlimited.
